Have More Questions for Us?
Ask UsOn this page you’ll find frequently asked questions about our wedding photography and video services. Have a question you don’t see on the list? Get in touch. We’re here to help!
How long have you been wedding photographers?
We have been shooting weddings and commercial work since 2001. Please visit our about us page to see our awards and customer reviews.
Do you offer customized wedding packages?
We have long acknowledged that every customer’s requirements represent their specialized needs; therefore, we have always offered customized packages that begin with our base wedding package 1. The starting package includes our service to shoot the wedding, along with a planning session. Beyond this basic coverage, we offer a vast array of albums, enlargements, printed proofs, and framed photos suitable for either a wall or desk/table surface.
Do you offer any other service beyond wedding photography and video?
We also offer family portraits, art photos, engagement photos, as well as a wide range of corporate/commercial work. Here is a link to our sister commercial website: www.delucacreativemedia.com
What best describes the style of your shooting (i.e., candid, posed, etc.)?
With every wedding, we shoot a mix of candid, posed, formal and fun shots of the bridal party and their guests. Because every wedding and wedding client is unique, we consult with each one to both get a feel for their requirements and vision of their wedding day. From this consultation, we shoot all photos based on their specialized needs. Please review our portfolio page to get a feel for our style.
Do you edit your photos?
At a typical wedding, we shoot from 500 to 800 photos, and sometimes more based on the hours and number of “events” happening during the day. We go through all photos shot at the wedding and give everything a Level I correction edit that involves overall color and brightness, a process that we do on all wedding proofs.
Beyond the initial wedding proof presentation, any photo that is included in an album, given to a customer as a loose enlargement, or created as a framed piece for a wall, receives a Level II edit correction. Level II corrections involve touching up faces, selectively lightening or darkening parts of the image, removing “exit” signs or electrical outlets, in addition to an overall color enhancement.
How soon after the wedding can I expect to view my photos?
We understand how important it is for our clients to share their photos on all forms of social media. Therefore, we try to get a Level I editing completed on all the photos within one week. We size these photos to both meet social media posting guidelines and optimize each image’s visual impact on social media.
What would you say differentiates you from other wedding photographers?
We’ve been told our enthusiasm for shooting wedding photography and video, as well as our technical expertise, quality and attention to detail, and flexibility with customers are revealed in our wedding photography, and it’s true. Our crew loves shooting weddings. After shooting many hundreds of weddings we have years of experience with every type of wedding venue imaginable.
How far would you travel to shoot a wedding? Do you charge a travel fee?
While roughly 90 percent of the weddings we shoot occur within a one-hour drive from the greater Akron/northeast Ohio area, we have travelled to Pennsylvania and as far as California to shoot a specialized wedding. Generally speaking, if weddings occur within a one-hour parameter from the metro Akron/Canton/Cleveland and Northeast Ohio area, our customers are charged no travel fee.
Do I receive rights to the photos and a print release?
Yes, absolutely. However, we caution customers that unless they have their prints made at a reputable printer with quality standards equal to our professional labs and printers, they may not receive a final product that reflects the attention to detail to skin tones, etc.
